Kids should be reading a book, magazine, newspaper etc. at home for at least 15 minutes. They should bring that book or other reading material to school the next day. They will read it during Reader's Workshop. Some kids have selected books from our classroom library. These should also come back to school each day!
Writer's Workshop: Some kids may want to bring in pictures, drawings, etc . to personalize their writer's notebook
Parents, please initial or sign your child's planner. If you would like to jot me a note in the planner, I will check it each morning.
Thanks!!!

First Day of School Yee Ha!!!!
Thanks for sending such great kids to Peach Plains today. We had a wonderful time together. Here are some important pieces of info:
1. Open House is September 16th. A rep from Camp Pendalouan will be there to talk about our camp trip.
2. Kids are personalizing their writer's notebooks. They can bring things to school to work on it Wednesday and Thursday.
3. Student need to think of a HOME RUN book that really turned them into readers.
See you all tomorrow. Go to bed early!!!
